Electronic filing has evolved to the point that most all returns are eligible for electronic filing.  Electronic filing has several advantages.  It allows you to receive an acknowledgement from the IRS confirming that your return was received. Electronic filing also enables you to receive a faster refund, and your refund can be deposited directly into your checking or savings account.
